Chasco Fiesta is please to announce that we are going green again this year! We have been recycling cans and plastic bottles for a while, but this year we are going a few steps farther. Thanks to Lottie Kelley with Covanta and Jennifer Seney with Pasco County there will be a green fiber bin on site at the festival. Vendors will be able to recycle cardboard and other paper products, which means Chasco Fiesta will be able to make some extra money while helping the environment.
We are also going to be recycling household batteries, which means small batteries such as AA or C. We will not be able to take large ones such as car batteries, although I don't think you would want to lug one to Chasco Fiesta anyway. You can drop the batteries off at our information booth at the event and we will make sure they are disposed of properly.
So when you come out to enjoy the festival make sure you throw that can in the recycling bin. By working together we can make our community a little greener one can at a time.
