Peyton – Monarch

6:15p – 7:15p

Featuring legendary guitarist, Michael Monarch (formerly of Steppenwolf) and power vocalist Jimmy Peyton  Rock, Country, Blues, Soul & Trop-Rock

Michael Monarch’s guitar playing perhaps helped the best capture the spirit of the 1960’s. His work with the iconoclastic “Steppenwolf” (recently nominated for The Rock and Rock Hall of Fame) remains a the hallmark of the unique mixture of psychedelic and rock. As the original guitarist for “Steppenwolf,” he played on all the hits including Rock and Roll Hall of Fame song “Born to Be Wild,” “Magic Carpet Ride,” “Rock Me Baby” and “The Pusher.”

With over 40 years of stage and studio experience as a musician and composer, Michael has worked with such all-time legends as “Steppenwolf,” Janis Joplin (The Kosmic Blues Band), SwanSong/Atlantic recording group “Detective,” as well as with Randy Meisner of the “Eagles”, Roger Glover of “Deep Purple” Chris Hillman (Byrds), Aynsley Dunbar of “Journey” and Andy Fraser of “Free.” Check out www.MichaelMonarch.com for more info.

Jimmy Peyton’s soulful voice and stage persona are remarkable. A natural entertainer, he has played in many local bands around Florida and Nashville, Tennessee including “Mad Dogs – The Joe Cocker Experience” with David Dix of “The Outlaws” and Kenny Suarez of “Iron Butterfly.” He transitions wonderfully through different genres of Rock, Country, Pop, Blues, Trop-Rock and Soul putting his own stamp on each. Jimmy has been singing for decades and has put in some dues.

Together, as a duo, Jimmy and Michael will entertain as they play off each other. Sparks will fly!
